I have been writing freelance articles for a very long time. I imagine that they have little significance to my life, in point of fact they are all usually pretty distant from me. Diet stories are emotionally manipulative, shallow, & with-out any universal appeal '" or so that's what they said.
Nevertheless, I resolved to write the diet article regardless of what people thought. I've always been unafraid of defying conventions with the articles that I write. I would not explain why right then, but I had already come to grasp why the diet article was significant to me. You see, I've always tried to cultivate a larger-than-life image. As an author, I have to be distant from my subject matter. I need to be strong and confident so that I can acquire the quotes that I need to make my articles work. Through writing diet articles, I could illustrate that I've had to deal with the same personal struggles that everybody else does. My other articles are not insincere, and I haven't lied about who I am in times past, but I certainly haven't revealed it. I felt that it was the right time to reveal a part of myself in my article composing.
As it stands, I have not had the diet expose published. Some of my editors have made very little effort to disguise their disinterest, but some others seem more open to the idea. I even have one potential lead for a future edition. My diet article may not earn me fame or success, but it was worth writing for me. I have always written for myself, & I will continue on to do so.
